Artist statement
I have always loved birds and other animals. You can ask my cats and Umbra (my dog) about it. I feel inspired by the animals around me and feel led to tell their stories to those I can reach. Birds and other animals that are endangered are on my heart, and the way we are losing species, my 3D photo sculptures may be the only accurate scale recorded of these magnificent creatures. Just look at Hawaii; most of their native birds are extinct now. How can we survive when birds cannot? I pray that I can be an Ambassador for the endangered species and help protect some from being added to the extinct list.

Meet the Bali Myna (Leucopsar rothschildi), a Critically Endangered Bird.
The Bali Myna number of mature individuals is 1 – 49 in 2021 and are still decreasing.

New Caledonian Owlet-Nightjar
This rare bird is only represented by two known specimens.
Scientists have done an extensive search and did not find any living individuals, but they do have fossils of this species, and it is not listed as extinct yet.
